Graeme has been the global Chief Operating Officer, Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) from September 2021. Graeme enables CIB’s strategy and transaction processing capabilities in support of its clients globally. He is accountable for proactively controlling risk and maintaining resilience to create a scalable operating environment that unlocks growth opportunities and brings sustainable value. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Graeme was Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking and Global Markets Technology and Operations at United Overseas Bank (UOB) in Singapore. Graeme has 28 years of experience gained within the banking industry, having held senior leadership positions at UOB, Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered. During his career he has specialised in business enablement through Technology, Operations and Risk Management. He has extensive experience of driving efficiencies following an enterprise-wide role out of the agile methodology and has led in the development of a fully-fledged digital bank. Graeme holds a degree in Computer Science from The University of Western Sydney.
